School and Event visits
If you would like me to visit your school or event, the cost is £250-£500 for an hour's talk (plus travel). I'm an international speaker, and proceeds go to my children's educational charity Oceans Project, for the provision of free education to children worldwide who have no access to school because of things like gender, poverty, war, natural disaster, or disability.
Each talk is tailored especially for your audience and I can weave in elements from a wide range of topics from my life experience and careers. For example, the internet of things and use of virtual reality technology in the classroom (I'm currently learning how to turn myself into a hologram so I can 'holoport' myself into schools), to mental health, growing up in care, daily life as an author and explorer, my career as a scientist, medic, neuropsychologist, and STEM Ambassador. Or my passion for ice swimming, and work on film and television productions such as Hetty Feather and Harry Potter. I regularly speak aboard cruise ships, at schools, and worldwide educational, technology, travel, and sporting events. I'm available for prize giving ceremonies and celebration of achievements, such as exams, end of year, sporting, or Duke of Edinburgh Award presentations.
My talks are suitable for small classes or large audiences, and you are welcome to invite other schools to attend your event at no extra cost (this can be a great way to split the cost if budgets are tight). For UK schools, there is a British Science Association grant available, which can be used to cover the cost of my visit during British Science week in March each year. You will need to apply for this directly from the British Science Association.

Skype in the Classroom
Not ready for a school visit yet, I'm also available free of charge for sessions via Skype in the Classroom sessions. Full details here. You will need to book these ahead of time as they get booked up very fast. I'm not currently available for guest speaking and Mystery Skype sessions, just the Bertram Bile sessions, due to my busy schedule. You will need to make sure that your class have read at least one of the Bertram Bile books before the session.
