Rydal Water Colouring Books
I created the Rydal Water colouring book as my first colouring book because it's a place that I know so well. I walk my dog here, and I love to swim in the lake all year round. It's an iconic Lake District spot, famous for poets like William Wordsworth, but also has a 'coffin route' and a fancy hall with wonderful gardens and a waterfall.
There are two versions of the book. The first one is rectangular, with 30 pages, and more expensive because it was published through Ingram. Unfortunately, due to a change in the UK tax system, Ingram no longer distribute colouring books to the UK. So I created a second version, which is square to fit CreateSpace dimensions, is cheaper to purchase, and has 90 colouring pages (3 versions of each of the 30 drawings). Each picture was hand drawn by myself, and then digitally traced by two artists; Jade in the USA, and Corinna in the Netherlands. It took a year to create. In the future, I plan to turn each colouring book into an augmented reality book so that the pictures really do come to life once coloured in.
