PLEASE NOTE: Whilst I do my best to make sure that all of the cozy mysteries included are free to download at time of writing, they do sometimes revert back to their regular price as the promo period ends. I have zero control over this, the authors themselves set the price promos, each author lives in a different time zone and even then, glitches with technology, etc can mean that the book is no longer on offer. Make sure that you double check the price before downloading. Cozy Mystery Christmas List IdeasThis week, I thought I would share with you a few things that I enjoy from the world of music and television which will help you to get into the festive spirit if you need a little sparkle. Starting with my favourite band of all time Pink Martini and their Christmas album Joy to the World. You can enjoy this for free using the Amazon Music free trial if you don't want to buy it. I'd also like to include one of my patrons Peter Hollens who has a Christmas album which was funded through patrons and you'll find my name on that album if you hunt for it. A few days ago I watched a movie called 'The Man Who Invented Christmas' which is based on Charles Dickens and his book 'A Christmas Carol'. I watched it for free on Netflix but you can watch it on Amazon (free with Prime I think) or buy the DVD. I really enjoyed it partly because it was a nice spin on the original story, but also because it very much reminds me of the struggles myself and lots of other writers face as we write our books. My next two suggestions may not be available worldwide as they are both BBC Television series, but you really should watch them if you can because I think they have been the best thing on the telly for a very long time, and I certainly hope that there will be more series to come. The writing is superb and both are quite funny. The first one is called 'Ghosts' and the second series I loved (which starts off a little slower than Ghosts, in my opinion) is called 'What We Do in the Shadows' and is all about a group of vampires who live in New York, stick with it because the later episodes are the best. Finally I'm going to add my favourite tea to the list because as you know I'm a bit obsessed with it having recently found it, and am now working my way through their entire range of Christmas teas. Right now I am drinking the Nougat Mousse one as I write. But my all time favourite is the Gingerbread and Orange Biscuit, closely followed by one I tried yesterday which was just like the marzipan feels you get from a proper Christmas cake - Christmas Green Tea - do not be put off by it being green tea because it really does feel completely indulgent and yummy.
